Please keep in mind that for all the material susceptible to acids (like e.g. iron, steels, zinc or other base metals), it is better to use the Tifoo Copper electrolyte "alkaline"! Copper-plating iron or steel workpieces protects them from rust and gives them an aesthetic surface because of the red gleam of this metal. Thanks to its good solderability, the galvanic copper-plating is ideal for the fabrication of printed circuit boards and circuit boards. You just have to use the copper electrolyte together with a graphite or copper anode and you already can copper-plate a component yourself. The acidic copper electrolyte is especially used for creating thick copper layers in order to use them as a basis for further surface refining. The gleaming effect is only achieved by using an immersion bath; if you use pen plating, the result will be matt. Application and use: For being able to copper-plate zinc or other base-metals, please use the alkaline copper electrolyte. The acidic bright copper electrolyte is compatible with our complete galvanic kit. Description of the article: Tifoo Nickel rod anode (Ø 8 mm) – the product features at a glance: nickel rod anode of 99% nickel length 10 cm, Ø 8 mm suitable for Tifoo pen / brush plating (GalvanoBrush) The nickel rod anode (diameter: 8 mm, length: 10 cm) is ideally compatible with our Tifoo brush plating system "GalvanoBrush". You can easily replace the anode in the pen, when it is e.g. worn out. Nickel anodes are ideal for nickel electrolyte, as they reduce the consumption and improve the electrolyte's deposition. We recommend to use the nickel anode in combination with the Tifoo Chrome electrolyte. It deposits a very bright chrome-nickel alloy, which ressembles the popular bright chrome a lot.

You can easily replace the anode in this pen, when it's e.g. worn out. The zinc anodes for pen plating allow you an ideal zinc deposition when using zinc electrolytes. The zinc anodes serve as sacrificial anode and guarantee an even zinc deposition while galvanizing with swab- or pen plating. The zinc rod anodes fit perfectly into the support of the Tifoo GalvanoBrush kit and allow a quick exchange with other rod electrodes from our online shop (e.g. nickel rod anode, copper rod anode or graphite rod anode). With that, you can always use the best fitting anodes for the corresponding application situation.
