The stainless steel anode is made of resistant steel, shows a high chemical consistency and unlike other anode material doesn't dissolve and therefore protects the used plating solution. The stainless steel anode is perfectly suited for use with our plating solutions for tank plating.

The stainless steel anode can be used with the following plating solutions:

gold plating solution
palladium plating solution
chloride-free plating solutions

Contact the plate ideally with an alligator clip outside of the plating solution.

Before use, the stainless steel plate has to be degreased with our Galvanic degreaser, acetone or spirit!

Description of the article: Tifoo Carbon / Graphite rod anode (Ø 8 mm) – the product features at a glance: carbon rod anode of 99% graphite length 10 cm, Ø 8 mm suitable for Tifoo pen / brush plating (GalvanoBrush) The graphite rod anode (diameter: 8 mm, length: 10 cm) is ideally compatible with our Tifoo brush plating system "GalvanoBrush". You can easily repace the anode of the pen, when it is e.g. worn out or unintentionally broken. Graphite is inert, i.e. it is not dissolved and doesn't cause any disturbing deposition of foreign metal. Graphite can practically be used with all plating solutions.

Please keep in mind that this electrolyte has especially been optimized for tank- and immersion plating. It has been given the name "Chamaeleon" because this electrolyte is perfectly compatible with our colour additives and allows you to achieve various gold colourations and shades. This cyanide free gold electrolyte deposits bright layers made of 24 carat real gold, normally without the need of polishing afterwards. Galvanic gilding is the ideal finish for every object that is meant to look especially noble. So you can gild e.g. watches, car components, used jewellery or electronic components without problems by yourself and save a lot of money. A very good combination for gilding of almost any metal is: copper (acidic), nickel (alternatively palladium or rhodium) and finally gold. Nickel-plating before gilding is recommended for copper, silver and non-ferrous heavy metal, for it causes a mixing of the shades with the gold after some days or weeks (diffusion), when not made.
